The venue provides 2 on stage monitors (QSC K10s) and artists plug directly into the in house system via a patch bay stage left (only single xlr is necessary). Mixer is not supplied. Bring all your own leads (including IECs) just to be sure as the venue’s leads are a bit hit and miss. The same applies to mic stands. There is one there (no clip) but it can be unreliable. The immediate area in front of the stage is only 4-5 tables deep so be very mindful of how loud the stage monitors are set, as these can be very loud for diners.

 

Load In:                      

There is no actual loading zone for the venue. As you don’t have to bring speakers it’s usually best to park nearby (street parks are abundant) and carry your stuff from there. Kings Cross station is also within 5 minutes walk if you’d prefer to take a train. Please be set up and sound checked with enough time to alert the duty manager to switch over from the house music to the performer’s set up. This usually takes at least 10 minutes. FYI, Soloists on Fridays and Saturdays are following duos that only finish at 8.30pm. 

Notes

Guitars should be acoustic only as the venue is surrounding the stage. 


Electric guitars are too imposing on people eating dinner directly in front of the stage.


Keep your music selection upbeat, the venue doesn’t want slow, drawn out songs.
Acts are to ensure that their backing music is not overpowering or of greater emphasis than the actual performer.
General age bracket is 35+; classics from 70’s, 80’s, 90’s as well as current acoustic songs all work well.

 

Music that works well, are the old classics from 70’s, 80’s, 90’s as well as current songs that work well acoustic.
