Dean Michael Smith is a natural born entertainer with over two decades of live performance experience, working with artists from all over the world.

Dean played his first gig as a drummer when he was 14 with a group of jazz musicians twice his age and had so much fun it ignited his passion for playing live.

Since then, Dean has released a solo album, played hundreds of live shows and shared the stage with the likes of Diesel, Mark Seymour

( Hunters & Collectors ), Dragon, Carus Thompson, The Radiators, Adalita

( Magic Dirt ) and Canada’s Jeff Martin ( The Tea Party ). Dean has also been the featured artist on the television program Songwriters Across Australia after winning the grand prize of the  Patrons Of The Arts competition run by Denny Burgess ( Masters Apprentices ).

 

Dean has a passion for music that he puts in to every song he plays. A consummate professional, Dean’s live shows are fun & engaging and he is able to adapt his style to suit any setting, whether it be an intimate café or a crowded dance floor. Dean’s set list is updated weekly and is packed with fresh tunes and timeless classics.
